Hiccups - Cause, Symptoms, Treatment of Hiccups

Hiccups Overview & Information

Hiccups are caused by a lack of O2 to the brain as well as a build up of CO2.  When you get the hiccups from eating too fast, moving too fast or whatever, you have a build up of CO2.  When you get scared, your natural reflex is to gasp (which makes you take in oxygen).  When you do the hold your breath method, guess what??? You grab that oxygen again.

The fastest way to rid of the hiccups:

Fold your hands on your head and breathe in through your nose and out through your mouth.  That usually rids of your CO2 build-up.

Do this until the hiccups are gone.

Some say to drink a glass of water.  Guess what.....Water provides OXYGEN....  That is how you rid of the hiccups....(hiccups are from a build up of CO2 and not enough O2).
