Acne rosacea is a skin disease that affets the face. It is unrelated to acne vulgaris. The first sign of the Acne rosacea are a rosy glow that follows a hot meal, hot drink or alcohol. As Acne rosacea progresses, the blood vessels of the face, nose become permanently enlarged giving the typical red faced appearance of the hardened drinker.

Acne rosacea is unsightly but not dangerous affects women more often than men and is sometimes triggered by menopause.
